As Manager of IT Infrastructure and Operations, you will be primarily responsible for positioning and maintaining the company at the forefront of technology in terms of IT infrastructure and processes
As IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of technical specialists providing user support, as well as a team focused on infrastructure maintenance and solution deployment
- Define and implement IT procedures, such as change management, in compliance with current standards
- Ensure proactive monitoring and establish comprehensive maintenance plans
- Contribute to the department's strategic planning
- Participate in modernization and transformation projects for company tools, processes, and infrastructure
- Prepare reports for senior management and various stakeholders
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems (servers, networks, storage, and cloud)
- Implement Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
- Evaluate and improve IT incident management practices
- Foster collaboration with other departments to align IT solutions with business needs
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to simplify and explain technical issues
- Available to work outside of regular business hours as needed
To excel in this role, you should hold:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; or a College Diploma (DEC) in Computer Science with equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT infrastructure
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an IT customer service or technical support role
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in people management
- Strong knowledge of virtualization principles (such as VMware) and operating systems (Windows Server, W10/11, Linux, Unix, SAN, etc.)
- Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is required, given our operations across Canada and the United States
