SUMMARY:

The circuit layout designer, class 3 works under the minimum supervision of the technical manager in charge of circuit design. He designs the implementation plan for urgent and large-scale projects. This position requires a high level of skill, and the incumbent is called upon to handle entire projects of all levels of complexity.

TASKS:

• Finds the method needed to achieve the objective, taking into account the urgency of the circuits and any other constraints, such as size, density, possible interference, heat dissipation, etc.
• Participates in project meetings as a representative of the layout group, suggesting layout modifications, locations and special features to facilitate design and fabrication;
• Participates in the preparation of specifications with respect to time, cost and program;
• Directs and supervises the work of several assistants, as required;
• Performs general drafting duties, as required;
• Performs any other related duties, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• College diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent;
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in printed circuit board design;
