As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency across the organization
As procurement specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Define and maintain a solid and robust procurement strategy to support operations and program requirements, while generating value for the organization (savings, avoided costs, etc.)
- Lead the negotiation of CMC Electronics requirements for subcontracts
- Evaluation of commercial proposals and final selection of the supplier with the teams involved
- Coordinate the preparation of proposals, including the audit of tenders, and take responsibility for the preparation of terms and conditions, compliance matrices and commercial terms and conditions
- Ensure performance, compliance with contractual obligations, contract maintenance and liaison with key sub-contractors and strategic suppliers.
- Identify and lead productivity projects to reduce procurement costs, to optimize operational efficiency, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making
- Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize risk exposure.
How to excel in this role:
- Bachelor's Degree with specialized study of Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) or more years of related experience in supply chain, sourcing, sub-contracts and contracts administration/management
- Proven negotiation skills
- Experience in direct and indirect goods
- Hands-on MRP knowledge
- Make or Buy strategy experience
- Bilingual (French/English). Working in an international marketplace the individual must have strong communication (oral and written), and be fluent in English.
- Proficient with MS Office software.
