As a buyer, you have a good knowledge of your products, and you purchase parts for your product lines (electrical, mechanical, non-production) from distributors, manufacturers, and all other approved sources.
As a buyer, your key responsibilities include:
- Determine which parts need to be purchased and negotiate the best offers with suppliers
- Analyze bids and make decisions based on the total cost of ownership
- Place orders in the ERP system and ensure receipt of the supplier’s order acknowledgment
- Manage orders by ensuring suppliers meet their commitments, and help identify solutions when they cannot
- Oversee and resolve issues related to payments
To excel in this role, you should have
- A college diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in supply chain
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Fluency in French and English. Working in an international market, the candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English:
