Why join our Operations Support Engineering Group  team?

Reporting to Engineering Manager, Operations Support, you will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to provide technical support for the testing and delivery of various avionics products. You will actively participate in technical investigations and design issues, implement practical technical solutions, address component obsolescence, help improve yield issues, all while meeting customer delivery deadlines. Support will extend to the Test Engineering team, the Technical Design team, the Production department, and the Repair and Overhaul (R&O) group.

As a Sustaining Product Engineer your key responsibilities include:

  • Perform problem analysis, root cause identification and solution validation by using the appropriate tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers and other specialized equipment;
  • Execute process to respond to Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Engineering Change Order (ECO’s) and change impact analysis (CIA’s);
  • Respond to and resolve hardware component obsolescence issues as they arise during the life cycle of the product;
  • Generate and submit accurate documentation including root cause analysis, product training material, and procedures;
  • Participate in cost estimation studies and the design of optimal electronic solutions;
  • Provide first line of technical support (point of contact) to resolve production problems and defective units from customer (R&O) for various avionic products;
  • Participate in productivity improvement initiatives.

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in hardware electronics environment and knowledge preferably in a high-tech environment: aerospace, telecommunications;
  • Demonstrated good analytical skills to resolve technical investigation, root cause analysis and resolution on products in a manufacturing environment;
  • Demonstrated expertise with testing equipment in environmental chambers;
  • Dynamic, autonomous, organized, leadership and strong interpersonal skills;
  • Bilingual French and English (spoken and written).
