Cybersecurity analyst

As a Cybersecurity Integrator you will be a key player in shaping and strengthening cybersecurity processes and practice across the organization. You will optimize security solutions while swiftly addressing threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.

 

As cybersecurity specialist, you will have to:

 

  • Implement, maintain and supervise the implementation of policies, procedures and associated plans for the administration of systems security and access to user systems based on industry standard best practices
  • Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols and standards in support of security improvement and development efforts
  • Recommend, plan and carry out security enhancements, upgrades and/or purchases
  • Deploy, manage and maintain all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems and endpoint protection
  • Monitor all logs including those from servers, equipment, intrusion detection systems and network traffic to detect any unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret the activity and make recommendations for resolution
  • Test new software and/or security technologies and recommend the best options

 

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other relevant combination of diploma and experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of equivalent work experience
  • Bilingualisme in French and English, written and spoken
  • Extensive working knowledge of IT infrastructure and security systems, including network administration, protocols, data encryption and other industry standard techniques  
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems, and VMware. This experience should include knowledge of servers, domain and workgroup concepts, Active-Directory, email, DNS, L2 and L3 network configuration, VLAN, network segmentation, NFS, DFS, etc.
  • Knowledge of applicable privacy and data protection practices and laws

  • Knowledge of law enforcement practices and procedures, such as CGP, ITAR, NIST and DFARS regulations as well as CMMC is an asset
  • Certification in information security is an asset (CISSP, CISM, CRISC)
