As a Technical Manufacturing Specialist, you will perform various functions related to industrial engineering, by offering technical support for the assembly, inspection or test operations.  You will also participate in continuous improvement activities, the follow-up for quality monitoring and the technical training of the production employees.

 

As a Technical Manufacturing Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include?

 

  • ·       Providing technical support to the various production cells; hands-on assistance with manufacturing, prototype assembly, and coordinating the movement of production equipment and test;
  • ·       Designing the necessary tools;
  • ·       Performing production equipment programs;
  • ·       Conducting time studies and establishes benchmark times;
  • ·       Preparing and producing work instructions, manufacturing procedures and visual aids;
  • ·       Ensuring the proper functioning and proper use of equipment and performs troubleshooting;
  • ·       Ensuring that the manufacturing methods in place provide a high level of quality of work;
  • ·       Investigating and resolving technical issues.  Participates in the Failure Review Board (FRB);
  • ·       Identifying needs and participating in the creation of the technical training program;
  •  Interpreting specifications to determine product requirements, manufacturing methods, and selection of equipment needed;

 

To join our team, you must:

  • Collegial diploma in mechanics or equivalent;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience;
  • This position requires an excellent knowledge of instruments and test stations.  The specialist will be called upon to support the testing activities of PCBs and Electro-Mechanical products;
  •  Good knowledge of Microsoft application software (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio) and assembly language (G Code);
  • Good knowledge of NC machines and machining techique;
  • Good knowledge of electronic circuit assembly processes;
  • Good knowledge of French and English;
  • Sense of initiative, great capacity for synthesis and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
