As a Business Development Manager, your responsibilities include: 

 

  • New Business Growth: Identify and exploit new market opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline and achieve annual company growth targets.
  • Market and Product Strategy: Shape product roadmaps based on market research and customer insights to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Offer and Proposition Leadership: Lead the creation of winning strategies, proposals and pricing models that maximize both competitiveness and profitability.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring our solutions match their needs and generate satisfaction.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Track business development activities, forecast performance, and ensure timely CRM updates for transparency and accountability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, program, and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions and product launches.
  • Industry Representation: Travel up to 20-30% to engage with customers and represent CMC at trade shows and industry events.

 

How to excel in this role:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Engineering 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, with at least 5 years in a similar role 
  • Strong technical knowledge of avionics and CMC's product lines
  • Proven track record in managing the capture and leadership of multi-million dollar opportunities Strategist with excellent business acumen and the ability to anticipate market trends
  • Possess an analytical approach
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a focus on customer growth and retention.
