The Paint finisher works under the normal supervision of the team leader or supervisor. Performs various tasks related to painting and balancing panels in the illuminated signage department.

 

 

As a Paint finisher, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

 

  • Masks parts according to specifications or drawings.
  • Prepares paints, lacquers by adding thinner or color using syringe, dipstick, etc. according to detailed instructions.
  • Spray paints, lacquers on medium-complexity, single-color panels, using judgment to achieve high-quality finishes and necessary opacity;
  • Prepares set-up for measuring light intensity by adjusting power supply to appropriate voltage as per drawing.
  • Check the amount of light passing through the panels using the electronic photometer.
  • Fires parts in the oven according to the pre-determined firing time and temperature.
  • Carries out touch-ups by sanding, filling or painting.
  • Keeps all spraying and other equipment in good condition.
  • Applies the necessary safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
  • Performs stencil marking;
  • Performs all other related tasks as assigned.

 

To join our team, you must hold:  

 

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies in Painting for the Aeronautical or Automotive Industries or equivalent or AEP in Industrial Painting combined with 18 months' work experience;
  • Minimum of six (6) months' previous experience in related work.
  • Ability to read drawings;
  • Ability to apply paint according to specifications and use the photometer to produce the required opacity;
