SUMMARY 

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring product quality for the site. He/She will assist in the performance and documenting product inspections throughout the product life cycle and will help ensure continued compliance to requlatory, customer, and internal requirements and processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Performs any required or requested inspections of mechanical, electronic, or optical parts and assemblies using various measurement and inspection tools.
  • Reviews production assembly and test documentaion to ensure product compliance with design requirements.
  • Actively participates in qulity-related activities for supplier, production and customers.
  • Prepares for and supports customer source inspection activities as required.
  • Reviews and analyzes supplier nonconformities to pursue corrective action.
  • Performs First Article Inspections for new and revised designs.
  • Coordinates Material Review Board activities.
  • Supports Calibration and Recall activities for production Measurement and Test Equipment
  • REQUIREMENTS 
  • High School diplamoa or equivent.  
  • 4 years or more of experience as a Quality Technicial in electronics manufacturing environment.
  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 knowledge or certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Quality Standards such as AS9100 04 ISO9001 is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Elctro-Static Discharge prevention.
  • Working knowledge of shop safety with electroncis in mechanical tools, equipment and electrictiy.
  • Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings and complex dimensioned drawings.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensionsing and tolerancing.
  • Experience with measuring and test equipment.
  • Ability to concetrate, analyze and work autonomously.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of Office suite, WOrd, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as BaaN is a plus.
