Under the supervision of the Montreal Production Support Engineering group, you will join a multidisciplinary team to provide technical support to the production, testing, R&O and delivery of various avionic products. You will perform hands-on technical investigations, propose and implement solutions in the areas of yield issues, design issues and component obsolescence while meeting on-time delivery to customers.  The scope of support will be to the Manufacturing group, the Repair and Overhaul group, the Test Engineering department, and the Engineering Design team.

 

As a Sustaining scientist your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Provide first line technical support (point of contact) to resolve production and R&O problems for various avionic products;
  • Execute process to respond to Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Engineering Change Order (ECO’s) and change impact analysis (CIA’s);
  • Perform problem analysis, root cause identification and solution validation by using the appropriate tools such as oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-meters, Logic Analyzers and other custom equipment;
  • Generate and submit accurate documentation including root cause analyses, product training material, and procedures;

 

To join our team, you must:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in hardware electronics environment and knowledge preferably in a high-tech environment: aerospace, telecommunications
  • Demonstrated good analytical skills to resolve technical investigation, root cause analysis and resolution on products in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with testing equipment in environmental chambers per quality standards and procedures such as RTCA/DO-160 or MIL-STD-810;
  • Dynamic, autonomous, organized, leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fully bilingual French and English (spoken and written)
